Spoon & Ribbons...and other shiny stuff
I went digging through my ribbon box looking for shiny, festive things for an upcoming shoot. This was just a test shot to see how the objects would react to the lights. I wasn’t really looking to get any nice shots, just testers, but I must say this one really stood out as I was going through the thumbnails. I love it when nice things happen unexpectedly. Helps me get my mind off my poor dog.
Just found out this past hour that our sweet nine-year-old golden retriever, Max, has cancer. I knew this day would come. I knew he wouldn’t live forever but I just wished he would have a long, full life and pass away peacefully in his sleep. I just don’t want him to suffer. My prayer has been, “God, if it’s your will, please heal Maxie. But if he’s not going to be healed then please make it so he doesn’t suffer, please don’t let him feel any pain.”
The above photo was taken almost one year ago on October 23, 2008. So much can happen in one year. He’s so happy and content chewing on a stick, one of his favorite things to do.
