Maxie-poo, our Golden Retriever

Max chewing on a stick

Just found out this past hour that our sweet nine-year-old golden retriever, Max, has cancer. I knew this day would come. I knew he wouldn’t live forever but I just wished he would have a long, full life and pass away peacefully in his sleep.  I just don’t want him to suffer.  My prayer has been, “God, if it’s your will, please heal Maxie. But if he’s not going to be healed then please make it so he doesn’t suffer, please don’t let him feel any pain.”

The above photo was taken almost one year ago on October 23, 2008. So much can happen in one year. He’s so happy and content chewing on a stick, one of his favorite things to do.

Melinda Thanks for thinking of our sweet Max. I’m happy to have lots of pics and video of him, plus lots of good memories. He’s sleeping on the floor next to me right now! So content.11/03/2009 – 12:07 pm
